Restaurants on wheels have been taking over the eating scene in many major cities, but Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile might be the original "food truck."
Now the company is embracing the growing culinary trend with a new version of the iconic vehicle that will dole out hot dogs from its mobile kitchen. The launch of the food truck marks the 75th anniversary of the Wienermobile. Celebrity chef Tyler Florence, host of TV series The Great Food Truck Race, partnered with Oscar Mayer on the unveiling of the vehicle in New York's Times Square this week.
Every August since 2009, the Wilton House, a countryside estate in England that dates back to 871 A.D., hosts a spectacular array of vehicles to raise money for charity. Supercars at the Wilton House last year welcomed more than 10,000 guests to the 21-acre grounds to observe some of the most desirable automotive works ever created. LONDON cabbies are staging a go-slow protest in the capital today against a decision by London Mayor Boris Johnson over taxi pollution. The Cabbies Against Boris (CAB) organisation says Mr Johnson is wrong to have scrapped older taxis on pollution grounds. CAB says research shows that new vehicles contribute more to pollution than older ones.
